On 20th Feb 1985 I went to see The Bangles play at The Marquee based solely on this photo I'd seen that day in the listings magazine Time Out. They were sensational. #TheBangles

As I'm sure everyone knows, the 16th Sept 1400 is the day that Owain Glyndwr declared himself 'Prince of Wales'. We visited the memorial to his daughter, Catrin, which is in St Swithin London Stone Church Garden just off Cannon Street. (BTW we are not Welsh, just seemed like a fun thing to do).

It only took 3 days to read the latest Poe and Tilly. I think it's MW Craven's best yet. Terrific read. Loved it.

It's 50 years since the Born To Run LP was released. The album cover on the right was taken off the wall display at the Hammersmith concert in 1975, the one on the left is our original copy. Just played it and it still sounds fresh and new.

Currently in Carlisle for eldest daughter's coronation as Alumni of the Year; just when you think you couldn't be any prouder.

I've travelled up to Carlisle for the opening of Tullie museum and art gallery's new space.

Spent this afternoon watching 'The Great Escape' from soup to nuts. Now settling down to watch Spurs v Forest. If you have a Spurs shirt, put it on now.

I was lucky enough to see Clem Burke play twice. Firstly, in a small club in Bond St, when he was drumming for Michael Des Barres, and then a few years later for Blondie at Glasto. He was a huge presence on stage and never gave less than his all. Will be sadly missed.

I was at this Clash gig in St Albans, it was May 1977, and it was stupendous.

On the recommendation of davyh, l popped into Farsight Gallery off Denmark St, to view the Mick Jones exhibition.

In the last couple of days we have sadly lost David Johansen and Joey Molland, the last remaining members of the New York Dolls and Badfinger respectively. Two bands that now join the 'no members left' brigade.

Now Playing: Bette Midler's second album. Picked up for a quid last week at a church sale in Egham that I happened to be passing. Chased down with a shot of very cold Aviation gin.

So, farewell Garth Hudson, last remaining member of 'The Band'. My abiding memory of you is at The Royal Albert Hall, climbing up to that magnificent in-house organ to play the opening chords to 'Chest Fever'. The sound filled that old hall and left shivers down my spine. #TheBand

Had a lovely, nostalgic walk around Kensington High Street/Church St, invoking memories and stories from over 50 years ago, including the hairdressers where I heard 'Hunky Dory' for the first time. Ended up in a terrific pub called The Mall Tavern.
