After weeks of Republican obstruction and a costly air travel nightmare, a bipartisan bill passed the Senate this morning to fund TSA, Coast Guard & FEMA, but House Republicans have rejected it — all so they can keep funding ICE abuses.

D.C. may look pretty right now, but what’s going on inside the walls of Capitol Hill isn’t. House Republicans are about to let Congress leave for 2 weeks with no progress made to pay our TSA agents or put guardrails on ICE.

Today is #EqualPayDay — a reminder that the gender pay gap still exists, and it’s widened since last year. Women deserve equal pay for equal work, not to earn 81 cents for every dollar earned by a man.

My statement on President Trump’s decision to rescind the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Clean Air Act “Endangerment Finding,” which requires the EPA to protect people from pollution that drives extreme weather and its costly, dangerous impacts under the Clean Air Act:

Trump has cemented his legacy as the most pro-polluter, anti-health President in history. The EPA is supposed to protect our families and our environment, but they rely on misleading Department of Energy reports that cherry-picks data to support the Republican, pro-polluter sellout.

This ongoing abuse has to stop. I am calling for a full and impartial investigation into the deaths of Renee Good, Alex Pretti and all others under Trump's DHS.

This morning, I signed on to Articles of Impeachment against DHS Secretary Kristi Noem. Secretary Noem & DHS employees have systemically violated the rights and privacy of Americans, terrorized our cities, and obstructed Congress.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

These investments will lower the cost of living, boost opportunities through skills training, create jobs, support Veterans, and address housing affordability. I’m grateful to my Democratic colleagues for standing strong to reject extreme cuts pushed by MAGA Republicans.
