We had a cooler day. I thought I could go out and take some dinosaur pics without being eaten alive by mosquitos, but I was wrong lol.

Laying in bed trying to to will my brain to stop wanting to suddenly fix/replace the zippers in Hysteria's head. I need sleep and can start on that tomorrow. My first attempt last year wasn't terrible, but I need more room to get my head with my glasses in.

Was feeling a bit bummed over missing ACFI so I decided to refresh my dye-job.

I have a plush project I'm working on right now, but would it be insane to think about making some fairly basic fursuit partial to possibly sell? The crafting part is my hobby and almost like therapy. I'm not looking to get into business, but I can't craft indefinitely because of space.

I'm not sure which cons I'll get to go to next year. Skipping ACFI this year because of cost. I'm hoping to go to Lonestar if I can snag tickets when that opens. I always have such a good time at Stratosfur, but attendee numbers really popped off this year so...might skip next year.

I do not know how you guys shave fur on the form so nicely. I've followed all the tips and tricks, using a guard, going slow, even pressure, and I have yet to get better at it. I can't always plan fur length out so that I can shave it down beforehand.

I am in my whimsy era. I took some staged pics of some dinosaur toys. I've seen others do it, and I'm sure I could get better with practice. But it's ultimately just for fun.

Back home from #stratosfur. I had such a great time, just one little hiccup. Grateful the con has a quiet room when I got too overwhelmed and the elevators were too busy for me to get to my room quickly. I'll need to make some additional plans for next year's crowding and schedule changes.

Still a few things to do for this to be ready for my friend. I'm sewing its twin for myself after. For an amateur, it's certainly not bad. But as a perfectionist, I have a hard time not focusing on the things that aren't 100% how I envisioned. Please only kind comments.

In general, I don't think I know how to live in this current state of affairs. I recognize I have some level of privilege, but I am also deeply compassionate for those in worse situations from the asinine laws being passed. I feel helpless and lost and so very angry. I'm sorry.

I make things as a hobby and for friends, but I might have to invest in a better table for fabric cutting bc my poor old back is ready for my demise. My supervisor makes sure I take regular breaks.

Work is still very shady and unsteady. I may be part of wave 2 layoffs. I'm still looking for new employment. Let's not even get started on the state of the US. However, I need to do something fun. We have decided to attend #lonestarfurcon. Is anyone I know going? Want to connect?

I need to find a new job soon. They laid off more than half of my department today. No telling when the rest of us will go. We think it's because we are actively onboarding someone this week that they didn't do it today. That may buy us until next week.

Lol the insurance company didn't process open enrollment elections from November. No one has insurance now. IDK what solution they will come up with but I am so tired. Look at my boy that has pretty much outgrown the cat tree bowl in place of me sobbing in the corner.

I haven't been active as much. The private equity firm that owns the company that acquired the one I work for is finalizing the budget for the roles they are keeping. I learn next week if I have a job. I have already applied to 200 ads, but it's been crickets. I'm so tired.

Moment of vulnerability here. My company getting acquired with assurances our jobs were secure only to find out that's not so is really hurting me. I know others have it worse, but I'm scared. I'm one of the millions living paycheck to paycheck. I'm looking for HR assistant, admin, assistant jobs.

Anyone return to Pokemon Go after a few years and fixed your walking tracking? I've been troubleshooting for days and have run out of things to try. It kinda makes the game unplayable since I can't finish research that requires exploring a distance or hatching eggs.

The company acquisition I'm anxiously sitting through has been so sloppy. Like some rich guy just wanted to buy a company and there are no real plans ready beyond announcing it. They keep going back and forth about layoffs, my job is on the block. So I have started applying elsewhere. 😞

Well, it happened. Mom called several times and texted frantically for me to call her. She wanted me to help her figure out a pin Facebook messenger was asking her for. She didn't know her password to Facebook or the associated email. I live half the US away. Total boomer meltdown.

I wound up stopping work early today. I had a late night meeting last night and woke up feeling like I could not actually wake up. I tried toughing it out, but after I felt no better after lunch I decided to call it. Much needed nap and food and hoping I feel better tomorrow.
