My grandma had passed away today. If not for her owning a Nintendo 64 with Banjo-Tooie, I don't think I'd be who I am today. Thanks for everyone who supported me and for their condolences. When I'm emotionally ready again I'll continue my projects.

I think this is the only direct reference to Banjo-Tooie original to BKGRR. Using the sing-a-long pad outside the tunnel, Banjo must navigate through it within the time frame or be kicked out. My attempt to add a time-travel gimmick.

I have a spreadsheet of every string in Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge separated by language and whether its a prototype or not. There are 815 unique lines of dialogue. About a quarter of it wasn't used.

I reached out to Grybo who was doing the compositions for Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge Redone mod to see if I can use his tracks. If I get the go ahead, I'd love to repurpose his "redundant" tracks to other areas. I have a Cliff Farm interior theme, but his is so different. Adds some extra spice.

Running an idea through you guys. I was thinking the final quiz dubbed WINKYBUNION TOWER for BKGRR would take the Jeopardy approach. Three rounds. The collectibles would be as if the quiz show was its own level. Gives it a unique flair from ToT and FoF.

Concept map of what I want the Cottage Cliff Farm world to be mapped out as. My focus was on more of keeping the gameplay beats of it intact but shaping it more like a Banjo-Kazooie/Tooie world. This does a spiral to the Point of Interest like Mayahem Temple.

One mechanic I'll be adding will be "Secrets of Jinjodom". In the original, the Oracle would give you hints for collectibles every Jinjo you find but they're often not very helpful. Each secret costs 1 Jinjo. The secret will give her dialogue but also pan the camera.

Unfortunately I will have to redo Singalong's effect. The shader conflicts with other transparent shaders. Might have to make Singalong Pad or something that affects the environment rather than a ball that follows Banjo.

Redid my documentation so I have a reference sheet of my objectives. You can see where the source of inspiration for a collectible came from and what was/will be repurposed. This is Spiral Mountain / Grunty's Lair. BKGR Mobile's collectibles are converted into Memorablia, Vinyl and Cheato Pages.

I was documenting and recording stuff for later usage, and I saw that both a Jinjo and a Hollow Honeycomb are beside each other in Spiller's Harbor. I was thinking of moving the Jinjo elsewhere in the area but also adding a little bit of Rare-style humor. How's this for a gag?

Changed the dialogue font to CComicCrazy Roman, an alternate free version of Comic Crazy, the same font used in the Banjo-Kazooie games. Updated the honeycomb UI, and implemented logic for collecting different color jinjos.

Here's my HUD inspired by both Banjo-Tooie and Donkey Kong Bananza. When you idle around long enough it'll show you your total collectibles on screen and disappear when you use any inputs.

Signs will have its dialogue appear above it rather than Banjo interacting with it. Text is also compatible with Unity's localization asset. So when I get around to it, I can translate all the text in-game. Also set up accessibility check if the players want to destroy the signs.

I'm thinking of doing a controversial choice. Making Eggs all share a generic egg resource and feathers doing the same. Each egg is proportional to its value. Like Blue Eggs have a capacity of 100, so it uses 1. Battery Eggs are 25 thus use 4 per egg. Thoughts?

My attempt of trying to optimize Banjo's movement to align with more modern 3D platformers. Combination of Forward Roll, Rat-a-tat Rap, Feathery Flap and Flap Flip. Wanted the movement to be snappier. You don't even need to fully crouch before Flap Flip just time your button presses.

Added a deoccluder to the camera so it no longer clips in geometry. Distanced and changed the height to be similar to Banjo-Kazooie and Banjo-Tooie's camera.

Updated Sing-a-long on the Digger Tunnel from Banjo-Tooie. Sing-a-long rhymes is a concept scrapped from Grunty's Curse that would unlock bonus areas. This is to incorporate time travel into the game. Mostly repurposed challenges from GR Mobile.

Instead of making it stick sensitive I made it so Banjo will sneak when moving when crouching, since breegull blaster in BKGR replaced egg firing. Improved the visuals for the Sing-a-Long. Now can make sections appear and disappear within 20 seconds.
