Oyster mushrooms are one of my favorites, they're pretty, can deliciously smell floral, and after looking down throughout the season, in the fall you look up more for these gems often growing on standing dead wood.

Bold common rust gill mushrooms, Gymnopilus penetrans, can appear all the way from August to January in Temperate Europe. Found along a wood chip path at RHS Wisley

Lovely fungus with the very fitting name Plums and Custard (Tricholomopsis rutilans). Can you spot the spiderweb's creator? (Found in Styria, Austria)

Surprised to find a newly emerged Wrinked Peach on a fallen elm in Southey Wood, with a congregation of Jelly Ears decorating a nearby trunk. Two Common Rustgill under a Scots Pine and some aniseed-scented Fragrant Funnels were added bonuses.
