As much as we train our bodies, it’s important to train our minds as well. Love incorporating puzzles in #physed. Another core competency of #SEL is responsible-decision making. Give students opportunities to identify/solve problems. This is called ‘the fish’. Can you solve it?

Introducing stress management techniques such as yoga, guided meditations, PMR, and #Mindfulness activities are great ways of incorporating the #SEL core competency of self-management in #physed. How do you help students manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors? 🧘🏻‍♂️🧘🏻‍♀️

Looking for a #SelfAwareness #GrowthMindset activity for students🤔? Visit HomeDepot/Lowes for their FREE paint swatches. Start w/ a fixed mindset statement at the top. In the remaining boxes, gradually shift the focus. By the last box, the statement should be a completely transformed mindset. #SEL

One of the core competencies of #SEL is relationship skills. Through team-building activities in #physed, students learn so many valuable skills that translate outside the classroom. This game is called ‘Adventure Island’ & students have to work together from one side of the gym to the other.

These past few days have left me overwhelmed with gratitude. I’ve met 11 incredible people from across our state, each bringing passion and heart to their work. I’m especially reminded of how amazing my community is—their unwavering support meant the world to me. Thank you everyone 🙏.

Need a quick activity outside the gym? Try Collaboration Numbers! 1️⃣ Start w/ numbers hidden 2️⃣ Flip the paper, & partners take turns tapping 1–100 in order. Set a ⏳for 2–3 minutes 3️⃣ Flip it back, brainstorm a strategy for 1 minute, & try again This is a fun way to boost collaboration & teamwork.

A standout activity in COMCHI is My Story! Participants choose a photo that resonates with them, encouraging self-reflection. This activity supports self-awareness, a key part of #SEL, and sparks meaningful connections and personal growth. With 25+ COMCHI activities, there’s something for everyone!

One of my favorite #physed presentations is introducing bodyweight straps to fellow educators. These versatile tools are customizable, promote individual growth, and remove competition from the equation, empowering every student to succeed. Such an impactful addition to any classroom!

Looking for an activity that boosts interaction, teamwork, and confidence? Blindfold activities are a game-changer in the #physed classroom!
