ICE and Kenner Police arrested four undocumented immigrants outside Home Depot Thursday morning. ICE has not released the identities of the individuals, but authorities say some had prior convictions for DUI and traffic violations.

The Louisiana National Guard federally mobilized 95 troops to help ICE at several locations across the state. The troopers are helping the immigration enforcement agency with “administrative, clerical and logistical duties.”

On Wednesday, Governor Jeff Landry, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and other Trump officials will announce a new facility at Angola Prison to house the “worst of the worst” immigrants arrested by ICE. Angola is a maximum security facility that can house 6,000. It used to be a plantation.

In one of the largest ICE raids in Louisiana history, 84 workers at Delta Downs, a horse race track near Lake Charles, were arrested. Officials say the workers were hired illegally, mostly to tend to the stables. The race course is also under investigation for illegal hiring.

The city of Kenner canceled this year’s Hispanic Heritage Festival after growing concerns among the community over increased ICE presence. Kenner has the largest population of Hispanics in Louisiana with more than 20,000 making up 30% of the city’s population.

ICE arrested multiple workers at a construction site for a new fire station in Kenner this afternoon. Kenner Police helped in the raid. Officials haven’t said who was arrested and how many people were taken.

Neighbors tell me 6 construction workers were detained in an ICE raid at a Kenner construction site on Loyola Drive. ICE has not verified any details with me just yet. This comes after the Trump Administration suggested a pause on ICE raids on work sites.

ICE agents arrested two hospital workers in Galliano, Louisiana. Officials say the workers are from Cuba and Mexico and overstayed their visas. ICE again did not release the arrestees identities ow where they are being held right now.
