I always enjoy the week of leading up to the Springbok Test at Ellis Park each year. Much as I enjoy games in Bloem, Mbombela and Gqeberha, there’s something different about it here, it’s a little less festive. It’s a little more intense. Sometimes feels like I’m gonna play too 😅.

I often think about the other side of professional sport. The lower divisions. Where there’s often more players on the field than spectators in the stands. It can be unenviable at times & I reckon it must get hard to keep going when there’s no one to cheer for 90% of your season.

I was scared Madison Keys had played her best tennis in the semis. She’s been brilliant so far, her returning and movement on court have been great. Sabalenka’s serve is letting her down #AusOpen.

I say it often that Riveiro has a good thing going at Pirates. You see it in how hard the players work and how genuinely happy they are around each other. I enjoyed how relentless they were even with their huge lead. And at their best, there isn’t a better team to watch.

It should be alarming for Man United and Man United fans how comfortably Bournemouth have dealt with everything thrown at them in this 2nd half.
