Headcanon: Lucifer is actually physically shrinking over time as his depression increases. This is why he's so short and why some paintings of him make him seem taller - he WAS taller at that point.

I think I found my new favorite quote about Alastor, from previously said fic: "For Alastor, his traffic light made no sense; instead of red, yellow, and green, he had something like purple, plaid, and infinity." AMEN.
