Majestic Theatre on W. 10th, #EriePA. 1907. It opened in 1904 and was later called Perry’s Theatre, and then Shea’s Theatre. It was demolished in 1967 along with the Lawrence Hotel shortly after.

On this day in 1977, David Berkowitz, the Son of Sam serial killer, was captured. This is from Penn State’s Daily Collegian the following day. Berkowitz was convicted of six counts of second-degree murder and seven counts of attempted. His 12th parole hearing resulted in a 12th denial in May 2024.
