I've been at the Arena the last two nights. Madness and Squeeze. Last night was Mumford & Sons, with the brilliant Sienna Ferrell in support. Great atmosphere at Madness, but Mumfords blew the roof off. I saw some signs promising more loos in '26, make em all ladies. The queues were a joke.

I went to the Greystones tonight to see Andy Irvine, he played the West Coast of Clare... and it broke me. He sang it so beautifully and I want to drive to Ireland and find Karen sat in Morrisseys pub at Doonbeg waiting for me.. and in the morning we could walk on the White Strand 🇮🇪 🥹..

Work still moving forward on the Sheffield Castle site, the park is taking shape. Current focus seems to be on the river view terrace. The castle ruins remains protected under sheeting and pallets, shielded from the winter weather #Sheffield

Demolition work continues at pace on the old Stones brewery site. Hopefully, this time next year the new development will be well underway. I think the site owners are on record saying the current phase is more difficult and expensive than envisaged #Sheffield

Sheffield Old Town Hall goes to auction today. Built in 1808, but extensions and clock tower came later. It's changed hands several times, but remains undeveloped and in a rapidly deteriorating condition. Hopefully, this time it finds an owner with its interests at heart (and deep pockets)
