What an honour it has been to judge the Stephen Spender Trust’s #PortugueseSpotlight Prize, with entries by KS1–5 students from across the UK! Today’s celebration event with winners and commendees, teachers and judges, truly illustrated the transformative power of creative translation.

In case you haven’t seen it, the CFP is out for Translation Networks in the Decolonising World, 1950s–1970s! The conference will take place at King’s College, University of Cambridge on 24–25 April 2026. The deadline for abstracts is 15 October 2025.
