Our children are loving their weekly visits to the school gym hall. This week they were developing their movement skills using the large equipment. The children's confidence has grown so much, we are very proud of you all ❤️

A whole day spent creating this amazing “sky scraper”. Super proud of you C. You concentrated, persevered and were so focused and engaged during your play today. Showing amazing ability to create this amazing model with the help form a few friends too!! Super 🌟!!

P loves exploring water and we are finding lots of different ways to explore water using different resources. Filling, pouring, adding colours and most of all splashing 💦 😍

Lovely unhurried walks exploring nature, our local community and even the park. The smiles on our faces say it all. We had the best time 😍 keep an eye out as we are going to litter pick this week; we noticed a lot of litter around the park and want to help clean up our community.

Exploring different ways to mark make outdoors 😃 using paintbrushes and water the children loved being challenged in their play and learning and are loving forming letters and numbers using different resources! very well done😃😃

Such a busy area the last couple of days. Our children have shown amazing creativity, imagination through block play. With added provocations of Kapla children reacted positively to challenge and created some of the most amazing models!!! Wow 🤩

Today, a small group explored fire building in the fairy garden today. They all showed excellent listening skills as we recapped the fire safety rules before starting. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the fire develop, engaging in conversations. “ it’s getting warm” “it’s going black” 🔥

What a fabulous day yesterday at our festive family fun day! A massive thanks to all our parents and carers for joining in and making it a lovely day! Very evident that all our children had so much fun 🌲 big shout out to roots we couldn’t have done it without yous 🧑‍🎄❤️

We are very lucky at Antonine to have the opportunity to explore our fairy garden. The children loved going on a bear hunt, swinging from trees and having snack together in the woods. We are looking forward to our next adventure. 💛

Our children were very engaged in sensory play outdoors. They had so much fun filling, mixing and poring the coloured rice. Lots of rich conversations as children were creative and imaginative through their play. Amazing sharing and turn-taking through a calm sensory opportunity 😃

We found a butterfly today in the school hallway. We rescued it. Once we had a look at it we let it go out in our garden. #antosocialstudies #antocuriosity

A small group of children explored feelings and emotions through STEM. The activity encouraged self-awareness and emotional literacy in a fun and engaging way. “ I feel happy when I get cuddles from AM” All children who choose to explore were confident at talking in small group gathering.

Some children were engaging in block play by creating boats, campfires, and houses demonstrating rich imagination and creativity. Such high levels of engagement as they used the blocks to aid their imaginative role play.

Our children have been so interested in numeracy, staff prepared a sorting and counting autumn activity. Our children showed amazing counting as they used a one to one correspondence to count the acorns! “ that’s 8” such confident individuals! 🌿

Autumn animals are a topic of conversation within our playroom today. In the art area children have been making their own hedgehogs. Great awareness of shape, size and colour through being creative 🥰

“We have made a big bed so we can have a nap” Lots of amazing team work today as C & R designed and built their very own bed for ELC!! 🛏️ 💤

We have noticed the change in weather and have had lots of chats around autumn. Our children created their very own autumn pictures today and shared there thoughts on autumn. “The leaves fall off the trees 🌲 “ “Animals get lots of food and hide it for when it’s cold” Great prior knowledge! 🍁🦔

Yo ho yo ho a pirates life for me 🏴‍☠️ E made her very own pirate ship today in the art area, lots of creativity, imagination and rein acting real life/imaginary situations!

We are curious about foods we eat and today we have played a match and sort game to dofferentiate between fruits, vegetables, meat and fish! Lots of amazing prior knowledge 👏

Lots of mark making outdoors. Amazing representation within drawings and amazing conversations as the children share their thoughts, feelings and ideas! 😍

C was so excited to share that he went to the stock car racing at the weekend. We continued this interest through junk modelling where he created his own race car and track. He then went to the block area where he created a race track 🏎️ 🏁🏎️ amazing creativity and imagination.

After completing self evaluation on our spaces we worked as a team to develop our ELC! We moved some of our areas ensuring light, welcoming spaces. We are developing an interest space in our cloakroom and are adding to our parents information notice boards. Look out for more photos next week.

Over the last couple of weeks we have shown a huge interest in mark making using lots of different resources. Our children are loving challenge through literacy and numeracy and have shown amazing ability to write letters numbers and form words! We are so proud of you all!💞👏
