14 days until Laravel Live UK! Hot take: In-person dev events matter More in the age of AI, not less. AI can answer almost any technical question you have. It cannot replicate the hallway conversation with someone who's been through exactly what you're dealing with right now.

Over the years I've been lucky enough to be able to use a number of different frameworks to develop applications. I remember when I first started to use CakePHP two objects for the same DB table confused me. Table = DB behaviour. Entity = your data.

There are some great updates coming in packagist, hopefully these things will help cut down the attack vectors that package creators will have to deal with great work @igorbenko.bsky.social and @naderman.de
