Thinking of my mother today, Adele R. Heller, on what would have been her 104th Birthday (1922-1997). She was unique in every way: beautiful, brilliant, concert pianist, award-winning Haiku poet, writer & theater producer. But most of all she was my mother and I love her & miss her every day.💙

Twenty years ago today since my big brother Daniel left us (1950-2006). Here we are at my Hampshire College graduation. He was the best big brother, funny, brilliant, loving, and so much more. I miss him every day.💙

Yesterday my husband and I had a fun evening looking at the enchanting holiday light displays at Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich, MA. One of my favorite decorations was the christmas tree in front of Lighthouse Keeper’s Pantry in Yarmouth Port, MA decorated in Fluff containers!💙

“Yellow Leaves” is a lens-based artwork from my “Winter Trees” series.💙 As Winter arrives on Cape Cod, trees become bare and beautiful in their various forms. My imagination takes hold and I riff on their beauty. Sometimes a tree is not just a tree.
