Human Rights Day reminds us that mental health, housing, dignity and safety are everyday essentials.

Wow! What an incredible weekend at the Artisans Holiday Show & Sale. After the final count, we were able to raise an outstanding $7,345.70 for mental health and recovery services in Grey Bruce!

Exploring and discussing substance use health can lead to positive outcomes like connections and growth. Yes, the challenges and grief associated with it cannot be unstated. In recent years, tens of thousands of Canadians have dies because of an unpredictable drug supply.

Today is National Grief and Bereavement Day. When someone you care about is grieving, it’s easy to worry about saying the wrong thing. But with a little intention, you can avoid the common phrases that unintentionally hurt and offer the kind of support that actually helps.

The theme for National Addictions Awareness Week this year is, "Anchoring Hope". Working together to address substance use challenges can result in different experiences, ideas and opinions for individuals, families, and communities.

November 16th to 22nd is National Addictions Awareness Week (NAAW). This week, is an opportunity for Canadians to learn more about prevention and harm reduction, talk about treatment and recovery, and discuss solutions for change.

Today we honour all who served and the families who continue to carry their stories. For many veterans, the toughest battles don’t end when service does.

Today, on Indigenous Veterans Day, we honour the First Nations, Inuit and Métis people who served with courage and pride even as they faced deep injustice at home.
