Recent comments in the media suggesting that paracetamol causes autism are not only scientifically unfounded, but also deeply damaging. Autism is a natural neurodevelopmental difference, not an illness caused by something parents did or did not do. 1/3

UK health officials have confirmed that paracetamol remains the safest painkiller for pregnant women. There is no conclusive evidence showing that taking paracetamol in pregnancy causes autism.
