Headed out the other night to try and capture a comet but clouds to the north snookered that idea. Swiveled around to point the camera at Orions belt. Captures show the Orion nebula, Running man Nebula, Horsehead Nebula, Flame Nebula and Barnards loop.

A wee aurora tour last night from Scarfskerry to Castlehill.

Another couple from last night. composites of two exposures, one for the foreground and one for the sky.

The clouds thinned out for a wee whiley last night. The rut is in progress with the stags roaring in the night.

A misty night at Loch Calder, the lightning was from a storm cell over the north of Orkney. A single Perseids meteor in the top left (mostly washed out by the moon).

The "chapel" / net store above Sandy Geo, Brims, Caithness. Nice example of a stone vaulted ceiling, excellent mason skills.
