I hope a time comes in my life, preferably a good while before I die, when I don’t ever have to do another presentation.

We got quotes to replace our driveway between $13k and $15k. Who has that kind of money to just throw at a driveway with nothing else to spend that kind of money on? We don’t even have $15k in our savings so this just seems impossible.

You all know I’ve tried to take this advice. Have a wonderful Monday all.

Today begins the last week of my 46th year.

These shoes, Dr Martens, were very popular when I was in high school. They were over $100 a pair even back then. My parents couldn’t buy them for me then but my almost 47 year old self just did. An early birthday present to myself. Really shouldn’t b this excited over shoes at my age but here we r.

I watched Will come out during the full episode of Stranger Things & I’ve watched the clip of the scene several times since. I cry every single time. It perfectly captures what all of us go through being gay. & I absolutely love that his older, straight brother cries & is the first one to hug him.

Curious about retirement contributions . Financial planners say we should be contributing 15-20%. I contribute 6% to pension, 5% to 457 and 4.7% to 401k. That’s 15.7% but I always feel like I don’t have much extra each month. How much do you contribute?

Halloween decorations are up!

It’s a beautiful 74.4f outside. But I sure do miss my evening skinny dips in the pool. 😞

I currently telework three days each week. My employer, which is a local government, is planning on making all of us return to the office 4 days per week. Next year, they’re going to move us into a new building where none of us will even have our own cubes. It’ll just be a big open room.

My husband and I both took the day off so we could take a day trip to the beach and Wilmington NC. It was a wonderful day. ❤️

SO happy tomorrow is a holiday.
