I know I have a lot of slobbery dog friends on here. My mind was just blown by a cleaning trick: My hundred year-old house has really beaten up and repainted baseboards and the ones by the dog bowls were extra grimy. Foam carpet cleaner lifts all the dirt up and you just gently wipe it off. 🤯

This video breaks my heart to see how far we have fallen, but also lifts me up because maybe there’s a little hope.

I found out this morning that my sisters-in-law are coming on Saturday and spending the night at our house. I have been cleaning all day just to expose the floor in the guest room, which I’m currently sitting on with both dogs. Husband said,”you should steam clean the entire carpet up there.” 😣

And just when I was all smug about seeing an owl this morning, my stepfather had this guy on his porch. No fair! (My mom was bonkers about owls and she would’ve been losing her mind.)

On my walk with Sully this morning, a giant bird almost bonked me in the head. I assumed it was a hawk, but now that I look closely at the picture I think it was an owl? 👀

Benji has a new crush and is hoping some of you can help her live a better life.

I love walking all around my neighborhood, but haven’t been really out for months because of the gloomy weather. Today, about two blocks from home, I heard a knock on a second floor window. I looked up, and a man was standing, pressed against the window with the curtains behind him. Buck. Naked. 🍆

For those who follow the grand adventure of my life, this is the bruise I got falling out out of a booth after one martini the other day.

I needed a soft snack for my picky 21+ year-old cat (cat treats are so hard and pokey!) and thought she might like bits of pill pocket. Yowza, feline pill pockets are over $60 a pound! I’m pretty sure they’re made of the same stuff as dog pill pockets at a third the price. That’s nuts y’all.

I came home from some errands and my new neighbors had a crew come in and clear-cut the shrubs and small trees along the property line. I feel like our houses just had a Brazilian wax. 😳

I had to get up at the crack of dawn for a friend’s memorial mass. I decided to stop on the way home for a splurge of oysters and a dirty martini. I felt extremely posh… Until I misjudged the end of the bench and fell on my face. Come out with me, I will always make you look like the classy one.

Am I a bad dog mom for letting him sleep with his tongue out, knowing it’s gonna get dried out and crusty? Or should I tuck it back in for him?

I’m experimenting with a new paper crafting style: portraits. A friend who leads a scholarship for girls ask me to create a piece of art for a retiring board member and some cards for other members. It was exhausting and took forever, but I think I don’t hate it which is about as good as it gets.

Sully had to go to the vet today for a vaccine. He is such a stress monster that he needs trazodone. But he was such a good boy and even let them trim his nails. Now he’s conked on the couch next to dad, who thought it was funny to put his socks over his little snoozy face. Poor baby.
