It's an old and obvious pattern. An unpopular president - failing on the economy and losing his grip on power at home - decides to launch a war for regime change abroad. The American people don’t want to “run” a foreign country while our leaders fail to improve life in this one.

"Please continue peacefully protesting": Sen. Padilla after forced removal from DHS presser

The most important words of our Constitution are the first three: We the People. We have no Kings here, no monarchs, no slaves and no subjects. We the People.

The use of the word “disrespectful” in reference to Senator Padilla not only stinks of thinly veiled racism, it also shows an incredible misunderstanding of the role of public service. Members of government are not royals. They are to be questioned and challenged, not force us to our knees.
