Huge news on Patreon! Because of the Apple v. Epic ruling, they are not only dropping the 30% Apple Store charge on the iOS app, they are also halting the move to subscription billing for all creators - which would have affected creators like me, who use a "per video" structure than monthly.

3rd book of the year: The Dragonbone Chair by Tad Williams! What a fantastic book holy hell. Kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time, gasping out loud with shock. Perfect fantasy, you can see just how impactful it's been to fantasy writers that came after. Rewards you for paying attention.

2nd book of the year finished: The Blade Itself, by Joe Abercrombie! I had a ton of fun with this. The prose was really good. It did feel like prologue and set up more than a self-contained story though. Logen Ninefingers was one of the most fun POV characters I've ever got to read about.

Resolution for 2025 is to read at least one book a month! January's book was The Curse of Chalion, by Lois McMaster Bujold. Excellent prose! I was bookmarking phrases constantly. Expertly crafted intrigue and fantasy and godly interference. Cazaril was a very compelling protagonist. Big 👍from me.
