The NSW Supreme Court just upheld the protest ban in the Sydney CBD during Herzog’s visit on the basis that it’s a declared ‘major event’. It’s a bad precedent, and could mean the NSW Government can push almost protest of a visiting leader - including Donald Trump - out of the CBD.
