The horrors of this past month didn’t happen. Right?! RIGHT?! Bc another nail hit on my coffin of academic career hit today. Two more nails to go. Musk’s actions are simply speeding up the death. Every job, academic and non, that I want is tied to federal funding.

The US Holocaust Memorial Museum, an hybrid federal entity with 41% of funds from the Fed, is not immune from DOGE. All jobs except for one have been suspended. Per email from HR about a job I applied to two months ago. It's a *donated* position.

So I need a job…. My current contract ends this academic year. 😕 I would love to be able to continue researching and teaching history of the Holocaust, Jews. Europe, and refugees/migration. Any leads would be appreciated!

Completed Ch. 5: "On Humanitarian Grounds". A lesson here: Humanitarian advocates *will* always find loopholes and challenges in immigration systems to keep the flow of refugees going. It explores how Shanghai's Jewish refugees were incorporated into policies meant for Europe's "war sufferers."

Statelessness is a global problem. This country does not need to be a new player here. Also, there’s a long process of repealing an amendment which apparently escaped attention.
