This Passover, we're sharing 2 photos from the SWC Archives. The 1st, taken in 1946, shows Holocaust survivors in Sweden celebrating their first Passover Seder since liberation. The 2nd photo, captured in 1936, shows Jewish students in Germany observing Passover as Nazi persecution intensified.

We welcome the NYC Council’s passage of legislation to establish security perimeters around houses of worship and religious institutions. When synagogues and other religious spaces have become targets, this law is a reminder that the promise of safety is not a luxury, but a birthright.
