Judging by her expression, he couldn't make out whether she had either been involved or a victim. Regardless, he seemingly looked her over to see if she had been wounded. However, her gaze kept him on edge. "Right.." He replied warily before making his approach.

It wasn't everyday that he happened to come across plumes of smoke or ash emanating from a nearby town. However, what gave him weird feeling about the situation was the lack of emergency response...what exactly was happening? Of course, curiosity set in and he was off to check it out. Seeing the-

Although he figured he'd get such a reaction, it didn't stop him from recoiling with a somewhat surprised expression, albeit the playful grin remained. "Oop-" he raised his hands in surrender. "...down kitty."

At first glance, it seems to do nothing. However, taking into account the perking of her ears said otherwise. "Pspspsps." He's having a bit too much fun with this.
