I've got a cold. I can absolute live with the coughing, aches, sore throat, and headache, but the swollen gland in my groin making walking agony is really pissing me off.

Of *course* Labour will be taking hope in the fact that it's a by-election; it's where protest votes come out to play. But they shouldn't. For years my vote for Labour has not been for what they stood for, but what they could stop. I've seen them take me for granted and court the hard right.

The fact that a working class person running on a ticket of unapologetically standing up for working people is as rare as hens' teeth tells you all you need to know. They are anomalies. The ones that slipped through the net. And the establishment will do anything in its power to drag them back down.
