Wonderful day out on the motorcycle today in the Victoria sunshine. Took a new to me motorcycle out for a test ride, unfortunately, it was much nicer in my dreams, in reality it sucked pretty bad. But this is why we test ride these things. 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had a Sapele sliver for approximately 8 weeks, tried removing several times without luck, but this toxic African hardwood made my left hand pretty useless without having some sharp pain, couldn’t even pull the clutch lever in on my motorcycle. Today I took it to the hired guns, success.

I started my new 3 day work week this week so this is my Friday night. Feeling good about this change. #retiringslowly

Did something different for Christmas Eve this year and went to a movie “Hamnet” with some late night sushi as a follow up. May do this again next year.

I pick my wife up from Vancouver International Airport tomorrow morning, so today I do 5 weeks of cleaning in one afternoon. This is what efficiency looks like.

Just had a nice hour long FaceTime call with my wife & oldest son from Queensland, now filled with warm fuzzies (only a little jealous).

Adze panel medallion door has made its way down to the finish shop and as I expected the finish is going to bring this door to life. 1st coat of the process is the “impregnator” to help minimize possible mold growth and it already has the colours & contrast popping. #Sapele #YellowCedar #BlackEpoxy

Interesting project moving through the shop at the moment. Sapele entry door with an adze finish panel, set into the adze panel is a yellow cedar medallion that has had a drawing done by the clients daughter cut into the surface and then filled with black epoxy. Should look amazing with finish.
