Absolutely agree with this sentiment to the point where I maintain a curated list of visual novels, specifically queer ones, that I absolutely think folks need to check out Visual novels are an incredibly accessible form of storytelling, for both players & creators, and y'all should be playing more

Random detail: this nerd's vision isn't monocular, but making his less impaired eye (right) match the one I use for >70% of my seeing was *very* deliberate…purely so that I wouldn't get left-right confused in the script 😅😆 (I only use one eye at a time, but my brain swaps between 'em contextually.)
