Took a few days but I think I finally have a grasp on the new @playgalaxygame.bsky.social set. Boons are an awesome addition, albeit a bit high powered. I love how important deckbuilding feels now.

After bubbling last month's monthly, was not feeling great about galaxy game. Decided to take this month a little slower and only play the monthly and until max April invites. Hit the first goal this am ending top10 (peaked at 435x/8th). Hoping the monthly this weekend goes better than the last one

Trophy with 4x commons on board is probably not healthy. I'm sure it's common knowledge at this point, but Mira is easily the most busted thing you can be doing. My list is built to maximize early game probabilities. The 6 bottom row cards are basically blank except in corner case scenarios.

Got the day 1 rank 1 screen grab before falling asleep last night (3700 and t5 as of this am). Legendary - 500 jewels for max tournament invites is the goal for the remainder of the month.

1 week from Xmas, here is my Once Upon a Galaxy wish list. 1) Friend list and being able to spectate games. 2) Practice games against bots and/or non ranked gameplay. 3) In game events(play X lobbies, rewards based on placements) and tournaments (async prelims with live lobby top cuts).

Talked to some other high mmr OUAG players. Thought I understood the game pretty well. Dead wrong. Definitely found areas of improvement for me and feel I've leveled up. Learning and growing is awesome! Also, dumb childish screenshot.

I may have gotten a little sweaty this morning playing Once Upon a Galaxy after the monthly reset.

Ended the Once Upon a Galaxy season at my highest mmr to date and just outside the top50. I'm embarrassed to say it took me this long to believe in The Huntsman. Bonkers card. Play it in every deck. Pictured below is my default build I played for most of season.

New patch initial reactions. The nerfs to Fox(could be nuetral since you cant steal junk over gold twice) and Sunflare Glider were definitely necessary. I don't know if Sunflare is playable anymore. Definitely need Burninator or Golden Fountain to really make it work, but deck space is limited.

A new Once Upon a Galaxy PB! Been using variations of this deck. The new rares are busted.

Went into galaxy game legendary this month at 3100. Overall hapoy with that placement given how much of the new captains Ive played with. Also pictured is my default deck. The ability to pivot into scam is very important and only requires 3 deck slots.

Broke 3200 mmr for the current Once Upon a Galaxy season. Unpopular opinion, I kinda like this in between meta. Despite endgame comps being pretty much the same every time, the early turns have a bunch of tough decisions. Curious to see how it changes with the upcoming expac.

I got a chance to playtest Modern with some Qd locals in prep for this weekend's RC. I am not Qd, but if I were, I would play this. It's been a while since I had that much fun playing MtG. It's not the affinity I remember but still brought the feels. It also happens to be VERY GOOD!

Had a game go so long from timing out, the turns wouldn't end. I decided to play it out and golded every card in the pool, eventually being forced to TLK my team.

I appreciate tcgs having cool art, but I think, by and large, its not a major focus of mine when it comes to why I like tcgs. Then this card comes along and HOLY SHIT! This card is fucking gorgeous and I need it for it's art and art alone. WOW!

Archazia's Island spoilers continue to impress me. Gonna be a brewers paradise. I really hope the metagame gets shaken up a ton by this set.

Deck spread is pretty much expected, though I would have thought a tad more 🟣🟢 over 🟣⚪️. Happy to see 🟣 decks FINALLY playing closer to 12x cantrip 1s than not. It's hard for me to pick a player to root for in t16. Some great people and great card choices within those ranks.

Homie lost in the finals of his LCQ. Heartbreaking but proud of the hard work put in. I have no doubt our deck will still be great for upcoming set champs.

Good luck to those at Lorcana NACC this weekend, in whatever capacity you are competing in. No choice lists from me this time around to protect the proverbial horses I have in the race. 🤫. Never not cheering on the homies.
