One of the worst, pearl clutching takes I've heard over QTs comments was "actors are measured by how much joy they bring people". IDK about that. I think the most fearless creations are often made by artists who create for themselves. QT sucks, but artists also need space to be opinionated.

For real. I used to grab midi files from karaoke machines and pull them into the Daw. Then I take the different parts and put them in my own instruments tracks.

Been healing from a RF ablation procedure on a nerve in my lower back. Almost ALL the soreness is gone after just 3 days. Pretty cool, because I can already feel some relief. I hope this lasts. I NEED to get back to music. 👽💚

Feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. Why aren't more of us willing to fight? We're in full blown fascism. Im not bragging, but saying this as an advocate. I've been fist fighting xenophobes and fascists for the last 18 years. At times I was but 135lbs soaking wet. Its just that it had to be done.

Ive been fighting fatigue again but at least im pretty sure it's because I'm healing and gaining weight. Im 13lbs up now, 17 more to go to my healthy weight 😁 just got a new master back and it's Phya!!

The biggest lesson I've learned in the last 2 days is that the majority of dissenters are not ready, or are unwilling, to fight fascism. I've seen people this man would've let die in the forced childbirth of their rapist's baby defend him like we just had a difference of opinion on movies or food.

What's happening in DC is a test. Testing our limits once again, at this point i don't know if the majority of us have any.

Put an innofader in my S4 and got a control vinyl record to start scratching digitally. This is going to allow me to use custom scratch samples and allow me to use cue points and other digital tools that I couldn't before, and i can still always go back to full analog.

Super stoked on a new track im working on. Def a new level for me even considering the last one. Im seeing a lot of this working/studying/experimenting with sound design is paying off. Ive really dedicated a lot of time to building my own sounds, probably 50-60 hrs over a couple months #dubsky

Got a new medication last week that for the nerve issues in my legs that is restoring my ability to concentrate because every thought isn't "hfs what's happening to my legs?". Pain can literally take up your attention to the point that you can't function....it really really sucks 👽💚

Ive spent a lot of hours in the daw this year just creating sounds, mostly synth patches, but i highly recommend this cuz now i have all these custom, unique sounds to build my new works with 🤙 more freeform on the way....

Just reworked the way I do my hi hats last night. I'm using 4 different sounds which overlap in pattern to create a really natural sounding, rhythmic 4 bar loop with automation on volume and frequency to make each hit extra unique and dynamic. Sound design is so captivating for me 😅🤓
