Just like that. Five days missed in the gym. Too much work, not enough sleep. Back today with light legs and heavy arms combo to just shake the rust off. Feel like garbage, don't want to do it. Just tried to get something done.

After no update for a long time we had Push, Legs, Arms, Pull, Push, Rest, Rest, Legs, and tonight will be a super late Arm Day. Keeping the streak going, just need a little pre-work out to get it done tonight. I tried to post me jumping rope but it was too gratuitous.

Yesterday was rest, today is pull. Pullups are stalling as I'm gaining weight. Trying to increase grip strength & not use straps unless absolutely necessary. Gonna get some jump rope in as well.

After a 14 hour stream on Saturday, it's taken 4 days to recover. Today I benched 200lbs for the first time in my life. I'd love to hit 225 by the end of the year. I need to keep putting on weight.

Push day. Bench is still going up slowly. First goal is 185, 5x5. Still a bit away from there. Ultimate goal is ORM over 200lbs as I've never gotten that high. I'm VERY far from that. This week is going to be very difficult for gym time. I'll do my best.

Last set of my 5x5 ez-curls. 97.5 lbs because the bar is weirdly 17.5 lbs. So breaking 100lbs is going to be very easy. I'm moving a bit too much, but overall, it's not bad.

Friday arms, Saturday rest, Sunday pull day. Still jumping rope. I'm keeping up a good streak, but motivation is at an all-time low. Sometimes it's easy to think, "Why bother lifting & training? Why am I wasting my time?" I just have to be disciplined and keep going.

Been a week since I worked out. Kid was sick & home for over a week. No time. Got back into it today with a short 6 mile bike ride & a new record ice bath. 1:15 in low 40s water. Even 10°F makes a HUGE difference. It was almost comfortable.

In the nearly 15 years I've been coming to this hotel, I've never once stepped foot in the gym (I am absolutely ashamed to admit that). This gym is so nice, and I'm glad to be able to squeeze in chest and arms. We'll see if I make it back at all for the rest of the trip.

Started the new week with chest day yesterday, a record breaking 25 seconds in the ice pool, then back day today! Knee feels better, tested it with deadlifts & could still feel it. So just more ice & rest. That's all I can do. No squatting for now.

Knee is still rekt after 5 days. Squeezed in an arm day, and I'm going to alter my lifting to account for the knee. Quick dip in the ice bath. It was low 30s. You can see the ice I had to break through. Made it 12-ish seconds. Gonna work up slowly. Needs less water.

Got a small ice bath as a gift. Set it up, put in 3 large bags of ice. I figured after the water went it, it might be around 60F. I used to regularly ice bathe a couple of years ago. Coldest I ever got my previous ice baths was 52F, after working up to it.

Late update. Freezing in the garage. Left knee bothering me, so I swapped in another arm day + OHP. May need to take 2-3 rest days in a row combined with ice bathing for recovery. We'll see how I feel tomorrow and reassess from there.

Yesterday was arms day. Had a fun party with the gang and stayed up until 6am around the campfire. Then today was a true rest day and a super low-key birthday. Happy New Year, everyone. :)
