Nose wrinkling, Charles eyes the clock while Clark cleans up, and soon the smell of cookies fills the air. A cool rushing feeling starts to come over him, and pushing him back into darkness.

"Will it get away from me if I don't?" He asks with a smirk, watching and his broad shoulders. All he wants to do is climb them.

Even spoonfuls. Okay. "Got it." He takes a spoon and starts to dollop percise lumps of dough into the sheet. Finally, minutes later, two sheets are full of cookies. Well, almost cookies.

Everything is creamed and then he adds the sugar, slowly, and then the rest of the dry. He mixes on low. "There. What's next?" Charles has flour all over himself now, on his chin and nose.

Oh. He gives Clark a bashful look before taking it, and using it to beat the wet ingredients together. "I don't do a lot of this."

Charles put the butter in and starts smashing away on them with a spoon to cream them. He's not sure exactly what that means. "Being toted around? Sure."

Charles smirks, setting the butter to the side and then cracks the eggs into the bowl, as per the instructions. "You only say that because you can easily pick us up."

"Thank God for tall people," Charles sighs, giving up on reaching when Clark does it. "Thanks. Too being another personality doesn't give me more height."

"Sugar!" He bent to get the butter and eggs from the fridge, and then looked around for some bowls. "Oh the cream of tartar, whatever that is."

Charles takes out Bruce's phone to google a recipe, but better yet, he texts Alfred for it, who happily sends one. "Here, Alfred to the rescue."

Charles knows Clark's heart is there, but also knows that he wants Bruce's soul permission. So, he pulls back, just breathing with Clark. "Cookies."

His hands rest on Clark's face, kissing him slowly as the kiss deepens, enjoying every last minute he gets of this, more attracted to Clark than he's ever been to anyone.

Charles leans in and kisses those words off Clark's mouth, loving him more and more. They had never all liked the same people before. "I love you."

"Was I?" Charles raises his brows at Clark, watching his lips on his skin with an internal sigh.

"He will be back later for that," Charles promises, rubbing his thumb over Clark's knuckles. "Cookies will make everything better."

"Does she know?" Charles doesn't want to make things weird with Clark's mother, but most people who didn't know any better, were none the wiser.

Charles takes it, squeezing it gently in his own, lacing their fingers together. They could take it slow. "I hope you know a good recipe, because I don't."
