When does AI become truly intelligent? Is it when it can bypass 'I'm not a robot' checks on websites? Or is it when it starts suing those websites for discrimination?

I'm looking for books which have high interest for teenagers with low reading ability. Apart from Barrington Stoke can anyone recommend other publishers which cover this area? Thanks.
