Had a really wonderful visit to LA last weekend to see some dear friends I hadn’t seen in ages. Weekend full of sunny weather, long talks, cute cats, delicious food and ridiculous pool parties. Someone on the plane home gave me the flu but it was worth it.

Stuck in LA traffic and our Uber driver just pulled mini brownies out of the console and fed us. We now love him.

Finished Dragon Age Veilguard on the weekend, loved it. Then spent the day yesterday being very “non-digital” learning how to weave a rag rug. My dear friend owns Smoking Lily so we used a bunch of their off cuts from their clothing which created beautiful designs (They are 0 waste)

Got in the queue for last minute Taylor Swift tickets about an hour before the show start….and actually got to front of line and the ticket was a normal price! Changed the number of tickets to 2 from 1….ticket disappeared 😭 Tomorrow is our night! 💃🕺✨💖

Updated Covid vaccine + flu vaccine = 1.5 days with chills, fever, body aches, headache 😫 I was able to play Dragon Age guilt free all weekend though, so it’s a win win?

I truly love working with start ups and particularly folks making video games and technology. The people the complexities the creativity even the funding challenges. It can be heartbreaking and inspiring in the same moment. But I love it. Those are my deep thoughts today 😂

I joined Twitter in 2008 while living in Australia, my “smartphone” allowed me to interact with simple text only. I met wonderful folks. Went to “Tweet Ups” (yes that was a thing) It was nerd culture wrapped in diversity, warmth and fun. Closing my account is the end of an era.

I’m trying to curate my feed so it isn’t full of orange man stories and his clown car government. But I’m feeling the overwhelm of living in America’s hat right now.

So the PNW has a massive bomb cyclone rolling in. Already seeing power outages across Vancouver Island. It’s moving across to Vancouver this evening with rain and powerful winds. Plugging in all the things and hoping all the massive trees in our neighbourhood stay standing!
