Nice out at 7am so I did a tour of Newcastle's parks on me way to the Ouseburn this morning. Gosforth Central, Leazes, Exhibition, then Heaton. Bikes man, they're great. Can't do that in a car.

I don't know if it's the weather or fuel prices, but there do seem to be a lot more cyclists commuting in Newcastle right now. The whole range, middle aged management consultant on his 8 grand carbon road bike to student on her knackered omafiets. Hope it continues.

Quick tip. Had a clicking noise when pedalling for weeks now. Was 100% convinced it was pedals or bottom bracket. Took it all to bits, cleaned, oiled, tried some old pedals, nothing worked. Just about to get bike shop to try when I saw a yt vid saying try lube on seat post clamp. It worked.

Ok, found my cycling limit this afternoon. Got overtaken by a blue wheelie bin near Salters Road. It's a bit windy.

Closest close pass for a long time. Richardson Road, Newcastle, heading towards the RVI. Scary. You can see me wobble, then the next car shows exactly how it should be done. Don't report very often, but come on...
