Studying microplastics in the NZ context? I'd love to hear from you. I'm putting together a feature for NZ Geographic magazine and am keen to be documenting work in the lab and in the field.

Completely stoked that this miracle of a snail found Giselle Clarkson, a person who a) would never squish it and b) knew all about left-spirals and c) deeply deserved a Ned in her life.

A tiny silly fun thing in the midst of all the chaos... We're on the hunt for a mate for Ned, a 1 in 40,000 left-spiralling snail.

Let's find a mate for Ned
One in 40,000 snails have the spiral on the left side of the shell, and they can only mate with other lefties. Can you help Ned find true love?

Relevant to my previous skeet… I get that people want COVID to be a thing of the past, but it’s not and everyday is impacting on the lives of our most vulnerable while disabling other. Why we can’t just accept that and make all this a priority to protect each other I will never understand.
