My current distraction is thinking about 2D games that have gotten REALLY GOOD hand drawn HD makeovers. It's super easy to screw these up but when they're good they're very good. (I know Windjammers 2 is technically a sequel but it's not so far afield that it doesn't count?)

Hey #gamedev I'm looking for some suggestions for Chinese language fonts. Looking for something for menus, and another font for comic style speech bubble dialogue.

The silly thing in the overflow cache of my brain that has made its way to the surface today: Both Castlevania and Foundation take wild liberties, perhaps unnecessarily, with the source material. But Castlevania is great and Foundation really gets on my nerves. Why?

Okay, #gamedev hot take: If you are a full time game creator, part of a team, and your game takes longer than three years from green light to publication, then your game is too big and needs to be scaled back because something has gone sideways. Convince me I'm wrong.

Not for nothing, but Mega Knockdown is an ideal game for streaming because you can watch and engage with the chat in the middle of an active game without missing anything.
