Farewell Paris. Our apartment lease ran out. Returning to Colorado to plan and scheme.

Ok so We did this yesterday

We had a lovely walk this morning while it was sunny but over the interval where we had coffee the sky turned black and opened up like a waterfall.

Went and hung out at the Louvre today … because we can. It was honestly awesome to just sit and not rush, to enjoy each room we visited without any other goal but enjoy.

Today we will get a stack of chocolates to bring back with us, and then return to Paris. Belgium is pretty awesome though.

Bought some coat hangers at IKEA. The name on them made me giggle.

I found one. It really does distribute municipal fizzy water. It is delicious and it is free to anyone with a bottle. This city is unbelievable in all the good ways.

Amusing observation of the afternoon: We were having hot chocolate in a 17th century part of an older building. I looked up at the ceiling. It was tiled. It looked like this:

We did it. We tried O’Tacos. I expected it to be comically awful. But it wasn’t. I am having unexpected feelings, here… It wasn’t a taco at all, it was a grilled burrito, with entirely non burrito fillings. Like a giant “anything” wrap. And it was delicious. I will 100% go back.

Whatever else my brain chemistry throws at me today I will at least partially counter it with this: the sunrise today was amazing.
