One of the most impressive things about Mamdani’s victory is how the campaign didn’t let up when it was clear he was going to win. They poured it on, kept running through the tape. Even if you disagree with his politics, you can learn something from his mobilization and GOTV efforts.

Looks like AP called NJ Governor’s race for Sherrill about ten minutes ago. Nice change from four years ago when Ciattarelli came three points behind Phil Murphy.

I’m looking at where the votes counted in NJ Governor’s race have come from. The biggest source of Republican votes is Monmouth and Ocean counties, both of which have counted most of their votes already. Democratic counties have lots left to count. This could be a blowout.

I see Decision Desk HQ has called the NJ Governor’s race for Mikie Sherrill. Don’t see AP following suit yet, but it looks good so far.

Made it home in one piece. 5-1/2 hours of driving. Hit a deer in the first ten minutes. It ran across the road in front of me. I slammed on the brakes and steered away and almost missed it. We both survived. It ran back to where it came from, and I wound up with a broken headlight.
