Very much enjoyed the book which I read recently. Didn't know there was a TV series in development. The book is set in Ireland though. An Irish adaptation of the book would have been ideal but this American version sounds good. #allherfault

Private health cover is usually pretty good when it comes to hospital stays, but the extras cover is woeful. Last time I went to the dentist, a check-up and clean was fully covered because I used a "preferred provider" but outside of basic care, out-of-pocket costs are high.

I recently read Andrea Mara's novel All Her Fault and thought it would be a good miniseries. Just found out it has been made into a series starring Sarah Snook. Shame the original Irish setting has been swapped for an American one, but based on the book and with Snook leading, it should be good.

My older brother, now 75, is a lifelong renter. He lives in Sydney and has somehow managed to stay in the same apartment for over 30 years. He relies on the aged pension and his rent takes two-thirds of it. He does have some superannuation but it's a precarious situation.

I can say from personal experience that the answer is unequivocally yes. Particularly when you are very young when your mum dies. I did the bedside vigil for my dying father and two brothers. I also handled their estates. I took on adult responsibilities before I was a teen. It's a thing alright.
