On the bus to Nuneaton. As a member of the Leicestershire Passenger Transport User Group (PTUG), I advocate for using public transport and for good behaviour when you do so. For example, I'm listening to the radio using my ear buds so as not to disturb others. 🎧 🚌

Watching CNN's coverage of the first big geo-political story of the year. That being Trump saying the U.S. has captured the Venezuelan leader Maduro after strikes on the country. Er, did Trump not make big play of 'not starting any wars'?! 🤦‍♂️

I'll certainly be inquiring as to how bad this issue is locally, at the Hinckley and Blaby Police Local Independent Advisory Group and at the Leicestershire Passenger Transport User Group. People-whatever their background, etc-must both feel and be safe when using public transport.

This story, on the front page of today's Guardian, is absolutely right. Starmer and this whole government simply must do more to combat the rise of political populists.
