I strongly believe every person should have the freedom to make their own reproductive healthcare decisions, including abortion care. On this Dobbs anniversary, we are reminded that our work is not done. We must keep fighting to protect abortion rights.

As a former school board member, I understand the challenges our schools face and the importance of giving them the tools they need to succeed. That’s why conversations like these with the Wisconsin Association of School Boards matter. Together, we will keep working to strengthen our public schools.

Today, I introduced the No Taxpayer Dollars for Insurrectionists Act to ensure taxpayer money does not go to those involved in the January 6 insurrection. Accountability matters, and public dollars should reflect our values.

Today I'm reminded of my visit to Westport Prairie with State Rep Alex Joers this time last year to learn more about restoration efforts at the historic Empire Prairie. Wisconsin’s natural beauty is worth protecting, and we must continue investing in conservation efforts across our state.

This Memorial Day, we remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Honor their sacrifice by visiting a cemetery, decorating a veteran’s grave, or taking a moment to learn the story of someone who served.

I’ve driven by the Black Earth Creek Wild Area many times (it is just west of Middleton along HWY 14) and recently took time to stop and enjoy this beautiful area. What a gem in the 27th Senate District!

My Death with Dignity bill is about compassion and giving terminally ill Wisconsinites the freedom to spend their last days where and with whomever they choose, without being forced to endure additional pain and suffering.

By focusing on acceptance we can make a difference in the lives of the increasing number of Wisconsin children who are on the Autism spectrum. Improving support, services, and collaboration among schools, communities, families and providers are key to making our world more inclusive and welcoming.
