Since I´m writing a story, the characters are made to fit a narrative first in the grand scheme of things, but that doesn´t mean that I won´t be having some fun with them for self-indulgence! That usually happens once I develop them further

The thing with me and assigning animals to my characters is that sometimes it´s so hard to be definite, like, I could also see them as a fox and a monkey

I´m still debating changing some more of my character´s genders in the rewrite (I need more women), and there´s one where I´m tempted (stoic guy whose story revolves around taking revenge for his child), but he has a meaningful name that wouldn´t make any sense if he was a woman

I initially wanted Artie´s skin to look kinda grayish and strange (a side effect of heavy Bliss use), but I ended up liking this skin tone with his hair color so much that it´s hard to imagine him any different now even in the past #oc #ocsky

People often talk about what not to do to get others interested in your OCs, but they should also give the creator the time to properly introduce them instead of expecting to fully know the character by the second post and giving up on getting to know them if they don´t

I kinda want to make a post about character twists being revealed long after they were first introduced from my perspective as a writer, but I don´t know if that would be "too soon" and attract the wrong people, especially since so many fandoms have been extremely on edge lately

It took me until now to notice that I used my story tag for this when I never did before on here lol Not sure if the tag is used for anything else here, but let me know if I should use it more often from now on to make it easier to find my stuff!
