The last regime went out of their way to say that Marlena made sure Bayview’s messy incompetent policies were all cleaned up after she and John were trapped there. And now the place is just a clown show again.

Can’t see family like Ari, Johnny, Tate or friends like Abe or Julie visit Marlena. But they can make sure we see Leo and Xander visit her. Unreal.

The 13yo’s class is singing Joy to the World in the Christmas pageant. This morning he told me we had to listen to it on the way to school. Apparently, they sang a version he didn’t know. Because he thinks the only (and correct!) version is Mariah Carey’s version 😂

Marlena’s life is falling apart and instead of her kids or grandkids coming to see her, she’s listing to Xander’s man pain. They can keep this show.

I wonder if it’s going to cross Brady‘s mind that Marlena was vulnerable & Kristen & EJ coerced her into this. It’s really weird that he’s not addressing their part here. Also having Ari explain why she doesn’t like Leo in the same episode where Marlena is giggling with him makes her look terrible.

Meanwhile, I think the reason Chanel is getting pregnant l is because Sophia is going to come back & take that baby, the one named after John. Raven said something about a miracle & heartbreak coming up. And it would be just like this show to have John’s namesake living off camera with Sophia Choi.

I just…recast Peter with recast Kristen and recast EJ and retcon recast Chad and likely recast Lexie and nobody Dimitri is just not it. Like this is the family they decided to focus on?

I’ve seen some series floating around that all these DiMera siblings are being brought together because Peter is dying and needs something from one of them. And this is the only time that I will mention that biology does matter. Because he is not biologically related to anyone except Kristen

I just realized Xander the retcon Kiriakis is firing Brady from the company John created (on screen) for his family to work at. Leaving the guy who shot his wife and son in charge of Basic Black? They’re really killing it with John’s legacy.

As they bring in a third man for Stephanie’s stupid story, I’m thinking about how she spent multiple holidays at the Hortons boo-booing over Everett and Chad and how she couldn’t stand to be away from Chad’s precious children

I can’t believe they have Tony missing and we’re not seeing Anna. One, she’s the more interesting half of that pairing. And two, what an enormous beat to be missing after everything she’s gone through with him being missing and dead over the years. But man pain gets the most focus on this show.

I really don’t like this Rachel story. I don’t like that this kid is probably going to be the only person to face repercussions when these toxic criminal man are running around town. I don’t like that it’s going to make Kristen into some sort of martyr. I really don’t like Marlena‘s role in it.

New story idea. John haunts all his kids/grandkids/great-grands who are being so selfish when it comes to their hospitalized mother/grandmother/great-grandmother. Good lord they’re the worst

‘New team in April! Let’s do a countdown. Oh no, new team is John’s funeral! Wait, the new team is in August. The new team claims they took over, but it’s really not until the gala. Wait wait no it’s after this next reveal so 2026 will be good.’ The show sucks, people. It’s ok to say it out loud.

Of all the anticlimactic ways for the truth about Rachel to come out, her randomly confessing to her father just sitting in the hospital lobby had to be at the top of the list. This used to be a soap opera.

I’m annoyed Xander & Sarah got divorced because now we’re going to be subject to yet another wedding. If my math is right, their 4th attempt. Plus Xander’s marriages to Chanel, Nicole, attempt with Gwen. 7 marital events is way too much in a 7 year window. If he was a woman…the names he’d be called

I was hoping the Shelle conversation would have included their two wedding anniversaries that fall this week, both being huge for Belle because John was dead for the first one, and finally there for the second. But alas.

This has nothing to do with today’s episode, but I have a bad feeling that they’re going to have new super ISA person Cat Greene figure out what EJ is up to with this lab. It can’t be a coincidence they just recently threw her into his orbit with her tenth new backstory.

Because Noel bragged that EJ had Stefanos’s ‘retconned to me magical’ ring. Everything that aired last week was just lip service (and not even good) because the actual story they’re telling is this big DiMera family reunion.

That dumb exchange between Roman and Brady about Brady being family because his name is on the Pub is almost identical to one during the strike. Deduce from that what you will lol

Lyme disease. 6 months of grief and queen of the night dreams and they end on Lyme disease. I’m out lol. Between this and EJ the DiMera family reunion ringleader, I just cannot.

One of my random soap posts this morning somehow ended up on the political side of blue sky, and I am getting the most insane responses. Like I was complaining about the DiMeras and the anniversary and someone asked me why anyone would want to live in Biloxi 😂

I honestly can’t believe that Shawn and JJ were not at this event today. Shawn actually knew Tom. Consistently ignoring younger legacy characters to focus on people who haven’t aired in decades or retcons and bad recasts is a huge reason that show is in the shape it’s in.

It’s weird that Marlena hasn’t mentioned that John is in heaven with her twin and DJ. I feel like that’s something that she’d think about a lot given how she’s talked about them the last few years.

Oh and that dumb retcon necklace that never existed that Alice didn’t care about because they already told the story of her important jewelry and it was the ruby story that Shawn and Belle had 25 years ago.

I think what’s really discouraging is a handful of flashback this week not only isn’t enough to commemorate the 60th, but when you combine it with these god-awful stories, they’re launching, it’s super discouraging. Gwen and the box. Missing Tony and the lab. The stupid English patient.

Marlena still hasn’t spoken to Eric and it’s weird.

I feel badly for these cast members having to go on about pancreatic cancer but it was a good tie in
