Art is a vital part of humanity and I LOVE the democratization of patronage - doing my little patreon thing and feeling like a noble person of old all “yes, this is my pet artist, they draw weird stuff, isn’t it excellent?” Truly rewarding, getting to be a part of enabling More Art.

Underrated point of discussion with the AI + social media uproar is giving thanks to patrons of the arts, especially non-artists, who are willing to put in the effort to support artists at a time when it has never been easier or more normalized to do the opposite.

I'm in no way claiming I'm a decent artist but I like to think of myself as a success story in terms of artistic will and persistence against time and odds because I didn't start drawing until I was 22-23, and I only did it after I finished my pharmacy degree and passed my licensure exam.
