Today’s “Friday Off” hat is the Omaha Rockets (1947-1950) 59Fifty from the Omaha StormChasers. They were a Barnstorming team mostly and the official farm team of the KC Monarchs their last season. Satchel Paige played there in 1947 and “Cool Papa” Bell managed them their final season.

Today’s “Off to Work” hat is the Montgomery Grey Sox (1920-1936) 59Fifty worn by the Montgomery Biscuits last season for the Rickwood Field MiLB game. The Grey Sox played in the Negro Southern League for most of their existence. #BlackHistoryMonth

Today’s “Off to Work” hat is from the Salt Lake Occidentals (1906-1913). They played in the Utah State League from ‘08-‘10 winning the Championship in 1909 and barnstorming through Utah, Colorado, Idaho & Southern California. @SaltLakeBees #BlackHistoryMonth

Today’s “Workday Wednesday” hat is an Atlanta Black Crackers (1919-1939) from Ebbets Field Flannels. They formed as the Atlanta Cubs their first year and were mostly an Independent team with a few stints in the Negro Southern League and Negro American League. #BlackHistoryMonth

Today’s “Off Day” hat and shirt are from the Birmingham Black Barons (1920-1960), they played games at Rickwood Field in multiple Negro Leagues and won titles in (1943, ‘44, ‘48 & ‘59). The current Birmingham Barons consistently pay tribute to their legacy. #BlackHistoryMonth
