I want to have this peeling height information whenever I apply vertex paint into a mesh in Unreal, does anybody know how to do it? Basically have this Normal information on the borders of the Vertex Paint mask. Let's say Gray is Paint and Red is wood or metal.

Today is my 1 year anniversary journey since I started to learn 3D. Here is the comparison. From a simple pyramid, to a freakin robot. It is crazy seeing the improvement, and the more exciting part is that I know I have A LOT more to learn.

In case you need to know this, if you are looking for anatomy references. Just type "Grey's anatomy" in front of the muscle that you are looking and you will have an excellent source. For example "Grey's anatomy quadriceps". There you go!

Don't be afraid of deleting one subtool/piece that you have been working on for a while, if you have a better idea just go for it! That is why it's so important to spend a lot of time in blockout, so you don't waste time

Working on my next portfolio piece. This time I wanted to focus on sculpting organic and it's not going bad so far. First model ever sculpted with this method. In the past I always sculpted rocks and wood. And if you are wondering, the only WIP is the leg, the rest is done 😂😂

Not gonna lie, job searching in South Korea is almost imposible. More than 100 applies and not a single interview. Meanwhile in Europe, I had offers and interviews. So I know it's not because of experience/skills :(

Question for my friends artists, would you integrate these pieces into a single mesh for games or this is fine? (blue lines indicate how to integrate all the elements into a single piece) I am very curious on your approaches. Personally I would leave it like that, there are no bake problems

What a day! I did the Low Poly + UVs + Normal Bake of the machine gun! I only need to mirror the cannons and that is it! Now it's time for the legs :D

There are so much things that I want to do to this big boy. But I challenge myself with finishing in a timeline so I think it's time to call it done. how would you create this shape given a trim sheet in maya? Is that with a curve wrap, MASH, sweep mesh? I tried all and I don't get the same result. I don't know how to give that curve to a plane with height
