I’ve had a really, really crap few days and fancied some comfort food. Not up to my Yorkshire nan’s standards, but by ‘eck, with a bit of caramelised red onion gravy and greens, this rocked.

Got told earlier today that as of next week, I'm losing a regular gig I've had for almost nine years. Gutted. Going to have to start sending the cats up chimneys. Seriously though, if anyone needs anything writing or my media-savvy chops in any way, hit me up.

We’ve taught Warren to fetch. He absolutely loves it and is obsessed with rolled up paper balls - he drops them at out feet now when he wants to play.

Gutted. Had to come home after two hours of AEW Forbidden Door, as the cramped vertiginous seats in the O2 left me yelping in pain with my spine. Took extra painkillers to no avail. Was eventually crying, so gave up and left @davidsnow.bsky.social there, so he can enjoy it at least. Rubbish.

Chappell Roan was pretty much perfection there. First time in a few years I wished I’d been at Reading Festival again. She’s amazing, her band were awesome too. Fabulous set.

It's International Cat Day today, and I'm really missing Norma Jeane and Arthur. They really were the most amazing cats and I miss their antics, love and cuddles so very much. I was so very lucky to adopt such incredible rescue siblings but it's so unfair their lives were so short.

Missing a daily dose of animal, so went to London Zoo today. The new, huge animal enclosures they've got are amazing. Got up close and personal with a colobus monkey and met a squirrel monkey, who the keeper said has the biggest personality of the lot and is called Arthur, like our much-missed cat.

Geno is SUCH a perfect song. God I love Dexys!

Keep thinking of Schrödinger's cat. I've just paid a £3k plus vet's bill, still picking up bits of cat hair and kibble, but there is no cat.
