MIA surgeon A/Prof Alex van Akkooi delivered oral abstract at #ASCO25 on results of COLUMBUS-AD trial run thru @eortc.org - randomised trial of adjuvant encorafenib & binimetinib v placebo in pts with high risk Stage II melanoma with BRAF mutation. Promising results for this post-surgery treatment.

At #ASCO25 Prof Georgina Long delivered oral on RELATIVITY-098 trial (combi of nivolumab & relatlimab v nivolumab alone in Stage III & Stage IV pts post surgery). Negative results, so whilst combi IO works for adv melanoma, doesn’t work post-surgery as ‘mop up’ therapy. @gvlongphdmd.bsky.social
